Official's Clinics

These clinics provide visual learning and hands-on experience in each sport. Each clinic is taught by experienced, certified clinicians using applicable rules. All officials must attend these sessions.

LEARNING TO OFFICIATE:

• Learn rules and become certified to work as an official.
• Learn proper communications with coaches, protocol, hand signals, and whistle dynamics.
• Learn the responsibility of each official and learn confidence.
• Learn penalties and how to assess those penalties.
• Learn to assess time-outs and to facilitate substitutions.
• Get hands-on experience with whistle/voice/hands.
• Learn proper signals.
• Learn proper protocol – where to stand, etc.
• Get hands-on experience.

SCOREKEEPING:

• Learn to accurately keep score.
• Get hands-on experience.
